The menu brings together 31 sandwiches, and each one has its own name. Many are from cinema: film titles, actors and directors. Others come from series, cartoons, music or popular characters, and a few are wordplays with the main ingredient.
The result is a memorable menu. It's easier to remember that you liked "the Tarantino" than that you ordered "one with lacón, camembert, onion and mojo picón". And it's also a fun way to start a conversation at the bar.

Names that speak for themselves
You don't have to be a cinephile to enjoy the menu, but those who are will recognize many names. There are films like Torrente or Mad Max; directors like Tarantino; actors like Clint Eastwood, Kevin Bacon or DiCaprio (here written Dicaprio); series and cartoon characters like Homer, Mazinger or Popeye; and music names like Michael Jackson or Iron Maiden.
Others play with the filling, and it's enough to read the description to see the nod:
- Gamberrete contains shrimp omelette.
- Sepiardo contains cuttlefish.
- Jack Sparrago contains wild asparagus, that is, asparagus.
- Kevin Bacon contains bacon.
- Sobrao contains sobrasada.
- Figafló contains figatells.
- Michael Jackson contains "blanco y negro" (black and white sausage).
There are also names very much our own, which need no explanation for anyone raised in Spain: Curro Jiménez, Sancho Panza, Macho Ibérico or Pata Negra. Everyone can read the nods they recognize on the menu; the important thing is that the name sticks with you.
However: the name doesn't tell you what the sandwich contains. That's why it's always advisable to read the description, especially if you have any allergies or something you don't eat.

For hearty almuerzos: Florencia, Clint Eastwood, Mad Max, Javito, Michael Jackson, Sancho Panza and Iron Maiden have egg; Gamberrete, Cojonudo and Alvarito have omelette.

Without meat or fish
The Florencia (zucchini with Manchego cheese, fried egg, tender garlic and tomato) is the house option without meat or fish.
What to order to accompany the sandwich
A sandwich is a complete meal, but in a proper almuerzo there's almost always something in the center to snack on. Some menu ideas that fit well:
